As some of you may already know, I'm back from Rachado Bay Camp (RBC), Port Dickson/Melaka. Yeah, our camp's on the sempadan of Negeri Sembilan and Melaka. (And our camp is situated between two beaches, Pantai Cermin and Pantai Biru. Coolness, I know. lol.) It's about time I blog a little 'bout it, don't ya' think? Yeah, I know. I've been procrastinating for wayyy too longg. *kicks my lazy self* Lol. I'm glad to say that Kumpulan 3 is not as bad as some people said it is. No fightings or stealings, glad to say! Okay, I gotta say that it's not easy to say 'goodbye' to my fellow friends, coaches (Especially Cikgu Mazlan and Cikgu Azman!), my dorm, my company (ALPHA NO.1), the Astro Room (which is where we usually hang out and just being lazy on Sundays) and finally, the camp itself. I'm definitely gonna miss the eating-together-and-bathing-together-and-laughing-together-and-crying-together moments! Just recalling every moment spent there with some really nice people makes me wanna cry. I miss RBC! Of course, needless to say, the first few days being there was like a nightmare come true. And I'm not gonna lie here and say that I didn't cry on the first few days because yes, I cried. I even called and texted my mum almost every night on the first week. Don't call me a baby. I was terribly homesick 'kay! But as the days goes by, I got used to the lifestyle in the camp. Yeah, you'd know the drill if you've attended NS. Basically, woke up 5 a.m everyday, 'PT pagi' (senamrobik/jogging/exercise/TTS etc.), breakfast at 7:30 a.m, class (Character Building/Kenegaraan/Integrasi) at 8:30 a.m, and physical activities (Kawad Kaki/Kembara Halangan/Abseiling/Flying Fox/Kayak/Rakit) at 2:30 p.m. And then we have 'Riadah' (Futsal/Bola Tampar/Bola Jaring/Sepak Takraw etc.) at 5 p.m. Not forgetting the unavoidable three-times-a-day Roll-Call that most of us hated are probably missing it now. :)
All smiles :)

Me and Leon! :))

Misha! Gosh I missed her! She went home early cuz' of Asthma :(
Just being silly. Lol.
The boredom during class. Hehe. Camwhoring is the cure. :)

And finally, 10!! (we're killing time by being lame)
Miss Rachado Bay Camp! LOL!
I've got so so so many things that I wanna share from my experience from NS but I don't know where to start. LOL. Let's just say that I'm very glad I was chosen to attend NS. I remembered being in the camp on the very first day. I didn't know anyone and I tried to make friends. At first, everyone else was damn quiet and I was also damn lonely. But it got better as the days goes by. Everyone loosen up and the dorm got noisier. Hehe. It's a good experience and I did lots of things I never thought I'll do or even grow to love it. Take Kawad Kaki for an example. Yes, a very good example indeed because if you know me well enough, then you'd definitely know that I never like to march in secondary school and I never understood why there are people who love to march. I remember how I strongly refused to join PBSM's marching competition even though my platoon leader was forcing and pleading for me to join because they don't have enough members. But believe it or not, I joined Marching Competition between companies in my camp. And FYI, I was not force to join or anything like that. I was one of the eleven "wirawati ALPHA" *ahem ahem* that was chosen by the coach. I could refuse and back out of the competition as the coach said "tidak akan dipaksa jika anda tidak berminat" but I chose to stay and compete. As they always say in my camp, "Berani Menyahut Cabaran". LOL! And the best part was Company Alpha won! Yes, I got the certificate with my name printed nicely on it with this sentence "Johan Pertandingan Kawad Kaki". Damn proud of it. Hey, I ain't boasting 'kay. Haha.
Resting after marching practice. (but never too tired to say cheese and smile for the camera!)
For 'Sukan Air', Company ALPHA won the overall as well. *ALPHA memang no. 1 la* Haha. I had a lot of fun during Karnival Sukan Air. I love kayak and rakit! We compete by the beach and the atmosphere during the competition was crazziiee! Supporters were shouting like mad and let me tell you, we really thought that CHARLIE was gonna win. But ALPHA took over CHARLIE at the last minute! ALPHAs was jumping up and down. It's nice to see such great teamwork and
semangat berpasukan. *see, I'm speaking bahasa PLKN* LOL! But nevertheless, Alphas and Charlies are still best friends! *wink*
Next, for Kembara Halangan, ALPHA won the overall as well. Kembara Halangan was my absolute favourite competition. But it was damn tiring. I almost faint at the end of the competition when we reached our final checkpoint. Lesson learnt, always take your breakfast before doing any '
aktiviti lasak'! But in the end, everything was worth it
la.
As for wirajaya, we didn't get first place. We came in second. Bravo took the title. And for Karnival Sukan Riadah, Bravo took the title as well. Er, what else? Oh one more thing, my dorm (p1-ALPHA) won the title as dorm terbersih/tercantik for wirawati. As for wira ALPHA, no comment. LOL!
The door.
Yes, our dorm is the dorm terbersih/kemas! :D
My pretty bed and my beautiful locker :P
Sudut KKJ!
Okay, enough about all the competitions talk. We actually have many other interesting events besides competitions. We have a special Majlis Persandingan for one of the jurulatih who just got married. And me and my friends performed Tarian Kipas (I know I know! Don't laugh!) for that night. I really don't have any clue about Tarian Kipas but my friends sort of
forced encouraged me to join so I thought, why not? Hehe. And I had a lot of fun, no doubt about it. And then we have Malam Kebudayaan and I joined the choir group. We sang Jalur Gemilang and Keranamu Malaysia. I had a lot of fun. And then we have Malam Kemerdekaan. Each company were supposed to come up with a performance for that night. My company did a sketch about sejarah Tanah Melayu and we sang Warisan. I bet you're thinking "wth is Warisan..?". LOL. Never mind. I didn't know that song either and I learned and memorized the lyrics in a day.

I know, the 'kipas' damn ugly, right?

Malam Kemerdekaan
Me and Leon, again. :)
That's Chin! She's excited to wear Baju Kurung. :)
Ok, I know this pic is a bit blur. :'(
Singing Warisan. Hehe.
Kelas Pembinaan Karakter (PK) was fun. But
Kelas Kenegaraan (KN) was not so fun. I feel like I'm attending History Class during kelas kenegaraan. Kinda boring, to be honest. And
Kelas Integrasi (KI) was fun as well. For KI, we have 3 Modul which is Kebudayaan, Keagamaan and Peranan Lelaki Dan Perempuan.
The books. (For PK,KI)
The last night was the saddest night of all, though. Of course, it's the Malam Penutupan Kem Rachado Bay. We received our certificates on that night and we marched for the last time on that night (Yes, we have to marched and do the hormat thingy with the Komandan while receiving our certificates). And then it's so damn sad to see them take off all the company's flag! Reminds me of the first week when we drew and painted our own flag. Ah, fond memories. :)

Good people. Love them muchiee!!
A few days before leaving the camp, everyone started passing their baju kelas around for people to write something on it as memories. And this is mine! :)
Last night! (ignore the background. we were in the middle of packing our stuffs at 3 am!)
And then I got bored, so I wore the beret as well. Haha. (Me and Doraemon)
Hormat!! (see my empty locker?yea, all packed!)
Highlight of my Baju Kelas! :)
Another highlight. *ahem* hehe! *smiles*
This countdown thingy always makes me sad when I looked at it. Weird. Haha!
And finally, the last day (5.09.09).
You know, I've met many wonderful and nice people in my camp and what can I say? I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH! *smiles* And I definitely miss them. So much.
But I'll always cherish&remember those beautiful moments we shared!
Lurve,
Mei,
Company ALPHA :P
p/s : Oh and btw, did I mention that Alpha won the title for the BEST COMPANY of Rachado Bay Camp Kump3/Siri6/2009?? Oh yes, we did! *big big big smiles*
